Free Tools For New Virtual Assistants

COMMUNICATION TOOLS
Slack is a collaboration tool that allows you to organise your communication into different channels. So — instead of talking to your clients on Messenger and losing track of all the conversations/ deadlines/ files you share, you can create a separate channel for each client and easily find things you’ve been discussing with them.
I like to think of Skype as the perfect back-up software for meeting with employees and clients. Additionally, you can easily send a chat message during a meeting. Skype also offers PowerPoint collaboration, screen sharing, and video conferencing capabilities.
GRAPHIC DESIGN TOOLS
Canva is a tool for everyone. You can create beautiful designs + documents with Canva’s drag-and-drop feature and professional layouts to design consistently stunning graphics.
INVOICING TOOLS
Getting paid for your freelance work just got easier with PayPal. It is the way to go when collecting money from clients, send customized invoices for free and pay with their PayPal, credit, or debit card.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT TOOLS
Trello is as flexible as freelancers work yo! It can be used to keep tabs on to-do’s, client work…everything.From organizing and prioritize your to-do’s in an easy, visual way that’s fun, create boards, lists, cards, checklists, a link to your Google Calendar, upload images and files, and more!
STORAGE
Google Drive is like a server or place where you can store all your files and data into it safely. You can create documents, spreadsheets, and slides using Google Drive (and keep it all organized). It’s what I use to store my SOPs, client notes, quotes….the list goes on!
Dropbox is what I use to save my files instead of saving them directly on my computer. You can sync Dropbox to all your devices and when you make a change on one, it updates all the rest, share files and folders with clients and vice versa.
